What do your eyes see when you look at something?
The body is a complex and beautiful decoding machine. When your eyes gaze at something, a feeling emerges inside your body. And what I have noticed is that feeling has nothing to do with what you gaze at, but has everything to do with who you are at that exact moment: you see what you are.
Yesterday, I had a heavy feeling inside of me of guilt and other mixed emotions and, when I went into the garden and saw all the trees in bloom and bees buzzing around them, I felt rage and that the place was too small for me, I needed to get out of there. 5 minutes later, after calming down the spirits from the previous dispute, I passed through the exact same place and everything felt peaceful, quiet, I could actually feel the smell of the flowers and hear inside of me the buzzing of bees. Same place, same eyes, a completely different view.
And this happens with everything: people we see, places we are in, birds flying, a cafeteria, an airport… whatever. The eyes are a constant reminder of who we really are in that precise moment, every moment. They are a great barometer and also an indicator of the fact that we can always choose to be our beautiful selves.
Look out of the window or in the far distance; what do you see?
