What are we really searching for?
I was reading for the 5th time (I think) one of the books dear to my heart – “The secret book of Jeshua, as revealed by the memory of time”, written by Daniel Meurois. As with any living book, each time it’s being read, new meanings emerge and a wider view develops. This time, what caught my attention was a phrase related to our … spiritual search.
We talk a lot about enlightenment, “being on the way”, advancing, moving forward, surpassing certain vibrational layers. But what if, what we are really searching for is to be filled by that “light”, instead of “reaching” it?
When you try to reach something, it immediately distances you from it; it is outside of you. But being filled by it… is a completely different story. It is part of you, is in you, in your responsibility to cultivate it.
As everything is in me, what exactly do I cultivate? That which I give attention to. As I am too busy reaching for … enlightenment, higher vibrational state, peace, love, gratitude… I might cultivate the exact opposite inside.
I search for peace, but I start a war with my neighbor for having music too loud during the weekend.
I search for compassion, but I hate myself for making a wrong decision 20 years ago.
I search for a higher vibrational state, but I resent my parents for the way they raised me.
What if, instead of searching for all of this, we acknowledge that they are already inside of us and we make more space for them to manifest?
I don’t search for peace. I acknowledge its presence inside of me and I recall for it when feelings of war emerge.
I don’t search for a higher vibrational state. I acknowledge its presence inside of me and I recall for it when resentment takes over.
If the echo is too dim, I pause and make space for it to echo louder.
